Quiet Events 2020
Following a very successful Quiet Evening at St Benedict’s Church in West Hunsbury, and an equally successful residential Retreat at Launde Abbey, we are arranging similar events for 2020.
As St Benedict’s was ideally located in the middle of the Diocese with ample parking; we are arranging another evening there on Wednesday, 6th May 2020 at 7pm.
The next residential retreat will be held at Launde Abbey from Monday 3.00pm 12th October to Wednesday 14th October, depart after lunch. Further information re cost and how to book will be made available in due course.
Revd Anne and Revd Christine are happy to run Quiet Days and Quiet Evenings more regionally to ease travel. These could be for an individual deanery if there is sufficient interest, or for a cluster of deaneries. Please contact Revd Christine for further information: firstname.lastname@example.org; 01933 226730.
DIOCESE OF PETERBOROUGH MOTHERS’ UNION RETREAT
Monday 12th to Wednesday 14th October 2020
Theme: 20/20 Vision
MU members are very good at looking after others; we are not always good at looking after ourselves. There were times when Jesus needed to get away from the crowds and spend time in prayer and contemplation.
A MU retreat, in beautiful surroundings with good food and the company of friends, gives the opportunity for both peace and quiet and also for fellowship.
Total cost: £199.10
A deposit of £39.82 is required when booking.
Send cheque made out to Mothers’ Union Peterborough Diocese
to Lyn Ridley, 58 Britannia Road, Kettering, NN16 9RY.
Some bursaries are available – speak to Lyn.
