Join Mothers’ Union

Membership of the Mothers’ Union is open to all who have been baptised in the name of the Holy Trinity and who declare support for the Aim and Objects of the Mothers’ Union.

How to join

You can become a member by joining your local branch. To find out if you have one ask at your local church or consult the Peterborough page of the Mothers’ Union website.

If a local branch does not work for you, you can become a Diocesan Member.

Diocesan Members are overseen by two coordinators, one for each Archdeaconry in the Diocese of Peterborough.

For those who live in Brackley, Brixworth, Daventry, Northampton, Towcester or Wellingborough (all these deaneries are in the Archdeaconry of Northampton), please contact:

Barbara Haynes – email her on barbarahaynes123@gmail.com or phone her on 01933 222612.

For those who live in Higham, Kettering, Oundle, Peterborough or Rutland with Corby (all these deaneries are in the Archdeaconry of Oakham), please contact:

Kay Short – email her on kpgshort@gmail.com or phone her on 07887 526535.

For the same annual subscription as every other member within Peterborough Diocese, Diocesan Members will receive Communicate, the magazine of the diocese, issued twice a year, all other local bulletins and information, plus all mailings from Mary Sumner House (our head office), which includes the Connected magazine, issued twice a year, and the annual Prayer Diary.

Local events in your area will be communicated to you, so if you can’t make a meeting, you will be fully informed of the projects in your area and all other news.

Prospective members will be asked to complete a membership form which is a data protection requirement, and to pay the annual subscription which can be paid by direct debit or by cheque.

If you want to support Christian family life and help those who have met with adversity, lf, do get in touch and become a member, we would love to hear from you.

If you are unsure which deanery you come under, please contact the Diocesan Secretary, Jean Rose, and she will help you. Email jeanerose@btinternet.com or phone 01933 663778.
